2. Overview

We only process personal data when it is needed to run this website, answer your enquiries or book an appointment, or when you have given consent. All services on this website, including fonts, run on our own servers in Germany. No data is sent to Google, Meta or other third parties.

3. Our own infrastructure

We run this website and all services used on it (appointment booking and web analytics) ourselves on our own servers in data centres in Germany. The servers are rented from Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany, with data centres in Nuremberg and Falkenstein. A data processing agreement is in place with Hetzner. Data is not passed on to other third parties and is not transferred outside the EU.

Server log files

When you visit the site, technically necessary data is processed: IP address, date and time, page visited, referrer, browser and operating system. This keeps the website secure and stable. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Log files are deleted after [7] days.

4. Contact by email

If you contact us by email, we process your details to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where the enquiry relates to a contract, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The data is deleted once your enquiry has been dealt with, unless legal retention periods apply.

5. Appointment booking

To book intro calls, we use the open-source software Cal.com on our own servers. When you book, we process your name, email address, the chosen time and any optional details about your request. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures). The data is deleted once your request is closed, unless it leads to a contract.

The video call uses [video service, e.g. self-hosted Jitsi].

6. Web analytics

Only if you agree in the cookie banner do we use the open-source software Umami, also on our own servers in Germany. It shows us how the website is used, for example which pages are visited and whether an intro call was booked. Umami sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. We process pages visited, referrer, browser type, device type and approximate country. Your IP address is not stored; whether two visits on the same day belong together is only estimated via a server-side hash that changes daily. The data never leaves our servers.

The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and § 25 (1) TDDDG. You can withdraw it at any time under Cookie settings. The data is deleted after [12] months.

7. Necessary storage

Your choice in the cookie banner is saved in your browser’s local storage (key “ll_consent”), so the banner does not appear on every visit. The legal basis is § 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG.

8. External links

This website links to LinkedIn. Data is only sent to LinkedIn once you click the link. LinkedIn’s privacy policy then applies.

9. Your rights

You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object (Art. 21). You can withdraw any consent at any time with effect for the future. Just send us an email.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example [competent state authority].

10. Encryption

This website uses TLS encryption for security. You can recognise an encrypted connection by “https://” in your browser’s address bar.
